Burnished, small bowl. Designed and handcrafted in colaboration with Popoloca's artisans in the Tehuacán Cuicatlán desert.
The unique finish of this piece is acomplished by lashing a liquid mix of cuajiote right after the burning process, while the item is still scorching hot.
Metzontla's pottery is not glazed but rather polished with a hard object, making the surface of the finished product very shiny. This technique makes their pottery harder and more waterproof.
- Simple design with clean lines
- Natural, unglazed, burnished finish
- Unique cuajiote sprinkles finish
⚠️ The shiny finish will naturally age with use.
