MEET THE MAKERS

Over the years, we have had the opportunity to meet and work with many artisans within the vast Mexican territory. Our relationship with craft makers is very intimate and genuinely respectful. We deeply admire their sheer determination and hard work, which we hope to capture through our photography. Artisans not only lead an exemplary sustainable life, but they continuously contribute to Mexico’s shared cultural identity and so on this page, we honour their work and life.

Artisans and their craft

In crafting there are no mistakes just unique creations

Craft production requires an intimate knowledge of methods, materials and a balanced connection with the natural environment. Crafts bear signs of their creator’s hands which forms a tactile as well as a spiritual link between producer and user. With industrial production, that connection has been lost, and with it a sense of identity and belonging. We strive to regain that lost harmony through the promotion of crafts.

The crafts we are proud to offer are entirely handcrafted individually by incredibly talented artisans from throughout Mexico. Most artisans do not have school-based training in their craft, but rather learn it through formal or informal apprenticeship.

Meet some of them and explore their beautiful creations.
